Business Continuity Management

How will your business cope if you have a fire, flood, loss of major supplier, loss of key personnel, major IT failure or other serious interruption to your activities?

Moules Consultancy Services can assist in developing a Business Continuity Plan will help to significantly reduce the impact of disruptive incidents and the subsequent costs to your organisation. It also increases the likelihood that your organisation will be able to continue trading / manufacturing / delivering services if a significant incident or emergency were to happen.

There is now an International Standard  - BS ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management Systems, which provides the framework the organisation should adopt in order to mitigate the risks which all companies should consider to provide confidence to all stakeholders that should  a major interruption occur, restoration of normal service will be undertaken in a controlled and systematic manner to reduce the impact on all stakeholders.

Whether you wish to seek approval from a UKAS accredited approval body to the standards, or use the standard to prepare your plans we can assist.

The plans will consider the possible problems the organisation will have from internal and external threats. Your business may be secure, what if you neighbours have a fire? Could you use your site, would you be able to gain access to your site?

The system will be based upon business risk assessments which will be used to identify the critical activities and the resources required to carry out these activities. From these risk assessments a Business continuity plan will be produced.

For help and assistance with these activities please contact Moules Consultancy Services experienced consultants for an informal discussion.
